Some notes on language: the word 'animal' replaces 'human' in this comic. The common word for the wild creatures of this world is 'monster.' Also, animal makes a bad adjective, so I'm also using 'therian' in place of 'human' as an adjective (e.g. therian DNA, therian nature, therian compassion...) The meaning of words like 'beast' and 'creature' are unchanged. Also, all the 'Animals' in this world are just cosmetically different breeds of the same species. Hence, 'breed of animal'. The difference between breeds is much more significant than, say, the racial difference between humans (we have very low genetic diversity) so some breeds have distinctive characteristics. Breed is also an all or nothing genetic thing kind of like eye colour; you don't get mixed breeds.
